7 Ways To Better Yourself In Getting Into The Music Industry

1. Hustling is one of the main priorities for success. You will need to be productive on a hourly basis as hard as you can. If your at a down time, be productive, even if your eating lunch. If you know the lyrics to you new song, sing it on you phone while your going home so you can make changes when you listen to it. Get a tripod and play a song live on Facebook so people can hear your work. But you must have good audio quality so you know they understand you music. A way to test it is by recording yourself and listen back to it, if you can hear I’m sure the crowd can hear it.

2. Network with as may people as you can and it doesn’t matter what type of music your into. Rappers, drummers, guitarist, singer, dancers, filmers, audio engineers, or people who make beats. Places you can go is bars, open mics, meetup, and even parties. I went to a party a while back with an artist who just made his new album. The party was actually in a recording studio. He explained that he bumped into an audio engineer and explained what he did for a living. The artist told him what he worked for beside his music. Since the engineer needed his help, the engineer gave him free studio time.

3. You Must Keep Learning about music and the music industry. A well known book to read in the the music industry is Music Business Handbook and Career Guide 11 which was a great experience ook I had to read on college and it explained the information from x to copyright, to x. 360 deals. You may know an artist who knew about the music industry and didn’t  get signed by a record label. And yes, its Chance The Rapper. He began to make so much money, that he donated money for the elementary schools in the Southside of Chicago.

4. Love What You Do- its easier said then done. If you truly love on music, you would do anything to take one step forward. Work part time with you job and the rest with music is a good start off. Write lyrics on a daily basis. Not all of your song will sound good, but just like in all moviesm, they all have deleted scenes.

5. Start a Music Blog, now I’m not saying that you have to build a website and improve on your search engine optimization, which is when you build more traffic to your website on Google, you have a better chance to pop up at the top. But  blogging on your Facebook channel can help make a difference, and it is completely free. Posting an ad about yourself and your music which today is at a low cost.

6. You Must Be Optimistic. People will talk shit about you or you don’t think other people believe in you. That is so tho that happened with Google (which today they have the highest revenue) A good book to read is xxx which can be about any topics, and then book explains xyz. Watch motivational videos when you want to take a break or if you have some downtime. Motivational videos can be so powerful it builds you confident that right after, you’ll get more work done.

7. One of the hardest thing to do is to not waste money. You don’t need top of the line clothing or jewelry, and you don’t need a numberous of instruments or guitar amps. You can actually use that money on studio time or going on tour.

As you stepping into the music industry, you music get a lawyer. Now not any order lawyer, but on that does it for the music industry. There are alot of scumbags out there who only wants your money. A lawyer/manager I new who passed away was Jay B Ross. He did alot of work with James Brown and would help save artists. If you would like to learn about, watch the music video, “Sue The Bastards”.
